About Us Environmental Recovery and Consolidation Services was established by Paul Ashman and Michael Vitale in 1997. Memberships Paul is a founding member of Carpet America Recovery Effort (CARE). ERCS is a corporate sponsor of CARE. CARE is a voluntary national initiative of the carpet industry and government to prevent carpet from burdening landfills. CARE focuses on developing carpet reclamation and recycling methods. Paul currently serves on the Board of Directors of CARE. The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection awarded ERCS a grant to build its web site (2005).
